WO Mic is an innovative tool that transforms your Android device into a practical microphone for your computer. It's a valuable asset for voice chat, recording, and recognition needs, providing relatively low latency akin to a standard microphone. However, the audio quality may fluctuate depending on the selected transport method and surrounding environment.

The app can be downloaded for free, although some features require in-app purchases. Unfortunately, the app does not support audio effects. If you require advanced recording capabilities, other apps may be more suitable.

How Does WO Mic Operate?

To use your smartphone as a microphone, you first need to select and establish the appropriate transport link between your mobile and computer. WO Mic allows you to use USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Wi-Fi Direct as your mode of transport. After initiating the app, navigate to the Connection tab, select Connect, and choose your preferred Transport type.

However, using USB transport is recommended as it tends to be more stable than wireless connections. It also offers lower latency and a higher bitrate. Simply connect your USB cable to your computer and select USB from the Transport type options on your devices. Clicking the play icon on your smartphone screen will activate the microphone function.

To use wireless connections, select 'Connection' and 'Connect' from the WO Mic desktop app. A dialog box will prompt you to choose the transport type you've selected on your phone. For a Bluetooth connection, select its name from the dropdown list. Connecting via Wi-Fi requires you to input your IP address, while Wi-Fi Direct requires the SoftAP's IP address.

An Engaging Microphone Alternative

WO Mic is a unique tool that can convert your basic mobile device into a high-quality and functional microphone tool. It offers a variety of transport types, ranging from a USB cable to several wireless connections. This is particularly useful if you wish to avoid purchasing new microphone equipment, as it serves as an affordable alternative.
